Description:
The Network Administrator is responsible for the overall uptime of Wavepoint3PL infrastructure, including servers, peripherals, and networking equipment. Performs maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting on all core network hardware and software.

Network Administrator Responsibilities:
- Works in conjunction with management to perform system-level analysis of application processing systems. Recommends and implements solutions to satisfy unique system requirements.
- Responsible for error recovery, backup procedures, and task management.
- Responsible for adds/moves/deletes/changes in Active Directory.
- Develops Group/Domain policies as required.
- Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications.
- Test fixes to ensure the problem has been adequately resolved.
- Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization.
- Performs routine maintenance and parts replacements.
- Supervises & directs the work of the desktop support personnel.
- Investigate, evaluate, and recommend hardware/software to maximize the efficiency of IT functions.
- Oversees the continuous operation of computer hardware, recognizing equipment malfunctions and/or failure; performs specific general equipment maintenance and routines to correct certain malfunctions and failures in computer hardware.
- Effectively schedules miscellaneous and non-scheduled requests for data along with routine schedules.
- Schedules oil peak downtime for server maintenance, upgrades, and configurations.
- Keeps servers and software up to date with current security patches, hotfixes, and service packs. I 2. Develops written documentation for users on new system features.
- Develop written documentation on policies and procedures for departmental staff.
- Maintains an awareness of future trends and direction of hardware, system software, and software packages.
- Recommends the upgrading of hardware/software/peripherals based on age, advancements in technology, and future expandability.
- Assists in the development, revision, and testing of disaster recovery plans.
- Troubleshoot issues on Active Directory, Exchange, TCP/IP, or other disciplines as required.\
Network Administrator Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science.
- Three years of prior practical experience in systems management and related peripheral computer/office equipment.
- Experience in Microsoft Server 2000 environments with native Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange Server, and TCP/IP Networking.
- Knowledge of MS SQL Server, and MS ISA Server.
