NuAire is looking for a Press Brake Operator to join our team. You should have previous experience with press machine operation, whether through steel manufacturing or sheet metal work.

Shop hours are Monday - Thursday 6:00 am to 3:30 pm and Fridays 6:00 am to 10:00 am.
** Summer hours: Monday - Thursday 5:00 am to 3:30 pm from Memorial Day through Labor Day. **
Salary range: $25.00 to $27.50 per hour. Starting wage will be dependent on experience level.
Job Function:
- Performs any combination of tasks to set up and operate sheet metal machines including Amada/Accurpress, S-4, P-4, corner former and Apron brake to shear, punch and form metal or other stock.
- Skills to look at a print and the parts for that print, decide what the best tooling would be to bend that part. Sometimes this involves picking the right machine to use as well.
- Assembles, aligns, and installs tooling to specifications using feelers, shims, templates, or other items as required by each part.
- Adjusts or programs machines for each item in accordance with shop routing and mechanical drawings.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Degree or certificate from a vocational school preferred.
- This person needs to have the skills to look at a print and the parts for that print, decide what the best tooling would be to bend that part. Sometimes this involves picking the right machine to use as well.
- Ability to read blueprints and use a caliper to measure dimensions.
- Experience working with press brake, and sheet metal fabrication machines with the ability to set up and operate.
