The Journeyman Electrician will play a pivotal role in providing installations, repairs, inspections and installs for clients around the greater St Louis area.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Residential and Commercial wiring and troubleshooting
Inspect electrical components, such as transformers, switch-gear, motors, panelboards and circuit breakers
Repair and/or replace wiring, equipment, and/or fixtures using hand tools and power tools
Install and maintain electrical power, communications, lighting, and control systems in homes & businesses.
Perform general electrical maintenance
This job requires the use of power lifts, ladders, lifting equipment up to 50lbs., leading a crew and valid drivers license
Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices
Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations
Install low voltage systems (Data, Phone, Fire Alarm)
Work well alone or as a team and interact well with customers
Supervise and collaborate with intermediate and apprentice electricians
Proven commitment to safety and teamwork
Other duties as assigned
Electrician Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-4 years of experience working as an electrician
High school diploma/GED
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Carry items in excess of 35 pounds without assistance
Work safely on ladders
Demonstrated quality electrical installations, maintenance and repair with safety, productivity and ability to work as alone or as a team lead.
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience
OSHA 10/30 Hour Construction training program
Electrical degree from a technical college or completion of electrical apprenticeship
Working knowledge of various electrical test equipment
Demonstrated ability to supervise, evaluate and develop apprentices.
