Job Title: Clinical Director - Surgery Center
Job Summary:
Supervises daily clinical operations of the Surgery Center and manages the clinical and clerical staff per established Federal, State, and accreditation regulations and guidelines, as well as established Surgery Center policies and procedures. Oversees patient care activities in preoperative, postoperative, and intraoperative. Purchasing of required supplies, controlled drugs, and equipment. Responsible for staff development, orientation, and staff discipline and appraisals.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the nursing staff, including scheduling, assignments, and patient care
- Ensure that patient care is delivered in a safe and efficient manner
- Provide leadership and guidance to the nursing staff
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor patient progress and make adjustments to care plans as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Ensure that all nursing staff are trained and competent in their roles
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Current State RN license and BCLS required.
- ACLS, PALS, and BSN preferred.
- Master of Science desirable.
- Minimum five (5) years of ambulatory surgery clinical experience as a registered nurse with two (2) years of administrative/management experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) or equivalent
- Current state nursing license
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience
- Previous leadership experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Knowledge of current healthcare practices and trends

Ability to adhere to work schedule and manage time appropriately. Ability to effectively manage the activities and personnel in the surgery center. Knowledge of current nursing matters relating to healthcare management including QAPI. Ability to utilize resources in an organized and effective manner.
