Clinical Solutions Pharmacy is looking for ambitious, impactful, goal-oriented professionals to join our Pharmacy Technician Team! A candidate must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) to be considered for the position.

Clinical Solutions Pharmacy is a closed-door pharmacy that ships out 30,000 prescriptions a day to over 400 correctional facilities in 26 states. Department Opening: Specials, Unit Dose, and Order Entry.

Position: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).

Specials & Unit Dose Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am to 5:30pm.

Order Entry Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:30am to 6pm, and a rotating monthly Saturday shift 6am to 2pm.

Location: 416 Mary Lindsay Polk Drive, Franklin, TN 37067.

Minimum Qualifications for Unit Dose and Specials:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician, CPhT.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Tennessee.
  • 1+ years' experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to organize and prioritize to maintain productivity.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment criminal background and drug screening process.


Specials Department Duties:
  • Fill medication orders as they arrive throughout the day.
  • Complete monthly medication expiration date checks.
  • Fill blister cards as needed to ensure sufficient inventory.
  • Ensure quality standards are met for all fulfillment tasks.
  • Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA.
  • Assist in shipping with packing orders in boxes, processing shipping labels, and verifying all totes were sent out at the end of the day.
  • Responsible for maintaining Quality Standards to ensure specifications/codes are met.
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by Manager.
  • Keep workstation area organized and ensure the area is free from safety hazards.


Unit Dose Department Duties:
  • Fill unit dose prescription medications.
  • Continuously run the Unit Dose Packager machine.
  • Review all unit-dose packaging for accuracy and errors.
  • Ensure quality standards are met for all fulfillment tasks.
  • Log all daily model site packages/shipments in the shipment log.
  • Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA.
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by Manager.
  • Keep workstation area organized and ensure the area is free from safety hazards.


Minimum Qualifications for Order Entry Department:
  • PTCB National Certification.
  • Basic math and analytical skills.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Tennessee.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate typing and keyboarding skills.
  • Dependable in attendance and job performance.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English.
  • 1+ years' experience data entry in high volume environment.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and be flexible.
  • Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills and is detail oriented.
  • Ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently when inputting information.
  • Ability to maintain composure on phone when handling customer calls.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to organize and prioritize to maintain productivity.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology (including sig codes and Roman numeral), brand and generic names of medications and general pharmacy terminology.
  • Possess the ability and initiative to plan for and complete daily activities with minimal direction.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment criminal background and drug screening process.


Order Entry Department Duties:
  • Courteously assists all internal and external customers.
  • Process prescription orders based on the priority assigned.
  • Enters new and refill orders in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.
  • Comply with all state and federal guidelines regarding medication labeling.
  • Calculates and verifies the correct dosage based on the prescription.
  • Assist with pharmacy workflow fulfillment duties to meet production needs.
  • Consult with dispensing pharmacist regarding prescription order clarification, non-stock items, order entry problems or concerns.
  • Complete all data fields according to pharmacy procedures including use of approved abbreviations.
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by Manager.


Language Skills:

Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral English communication and to communicate effectively with customers, employees, and vendors.

Physical Demands:

  • Able to reach, carry, finger, grasp and feel objects related to duties.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, stir, walk, and stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • The employee is required to exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force frequently to lift/move objects.
