Job Description

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate our Field Service Truck and work in the Shop, Monday through Friday from 7am-3:30pm or as scheduled. We offer competitive hourly rates ranging from $25 to $50 per hour, based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits including Health Benefits, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, and a Simple IRA with Employer Match.

Responsibilities:

Perform maintenance and repairs on construction machinery and equipment.
Operate Field Service Truck efficiently to reach job sites promptly.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
Welding and fabrication as needed.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.

Requirements:

2 to 5 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
Proficiency in operating a wide range of tools and equipment.
Strong welding skills and ability to fabricate parts.
Solid understanding of electrical systems and ability to read schematics.
Thorough knowledge of hydraulic systems and components.
Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

CDL-A license is a bonus
Experience working with brands such as CAT, John Deere, or Komatsu.
Certification from a recognized trade school or apprenticeship program.
Familiarity with computerized diagnostic tools and software.
Experience with GPS and telematics systems.
