Construction Project manager

VersaTile is a well-established construction company specializing in tile install and residential remodeling projects. Ideally we are looking for someone who has spent years in the trades but no longer wanted to swing a hammer full time. There will be some light carpentry required with this position but more importantly you need job site experience. Construction sites are not like any other project management experience this is why 5 years minimum being on construction sites is required. 

Requirements:

1. Experience:

• Must have 5 years experience on site in the trades. 
• Proven experience as a project manager in the construction industry.
• Background in sales and customer service.
• Carpentry and tile experience is essential.

2. Technical Skills:

• In depth knowledge of tile installation product and procedures.
• Slight knowledge of plumbing, electrical, framing, carpentry, sheetrock, and painting.
• Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with construction materials, methods, and techniques.

3. Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with customers, subcontractors, and team members.
• Strong sales skills to effectively communicate with clients and negotiate contracts.

4. Adaptability and Learning Agility:

• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations and challenges.
• Willingness to expand knowledge and skills to meet the needs of various projects.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.

5. Leadership and Team Management:

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and ensuring project timelines are met.
• Ability to maintain a positive and collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project objectives are met.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure quality standards are maintained.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
