Are you passionate about empowering athletes to reach their full potential? Do you have a strong background in athletic performance and coaching? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Performance Coach at our OI Performance Center for the summer months.


As a Performance Coach, you will play a vital role in helping athletes of all levels enhance their performance, prevent injuries, and achieve their athletic goals. You will work closely with our sports medicine specialists to develop comprehensive training programs tailored to each athlete's specific needs.

As a Performance Coach, your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing evidence-based training programs to enhance athletic performance.
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the strengths and areas of improvement for each athlete.
  • Providing individualized coaching, guidance, and motivational support to athletes.
  • Educating athletes on proper techniques, injury prevention strategies, and sports nutrition.
  • Monitoring and analyzing athlete progress and adjusting training programs as needed.
  • Creating a positive and inspiring training environment that fosters teamwork and sportsmanship.

To succeed in this role, you must have a strong background in athletic performance coaching, with a focus on orthopedic sports. You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect and build rapport with athletes of all ages and skill levels. Additionally, a solid understanding of injury prevention and rehabilitation techniques is essential.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Sports Science, or a related field.
  • Certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) required.
  • Previous experience working as an Performance Coach, preferably with orthopedic sports preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of exercise physiology, biomechanics, and sports nutrition.
  • Excellent communication and motivational skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement evidence-based training programs.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends to accommodate athlete schedules and competitions.
