Job Description:

The Sr. DevSecOps Platform Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud-based platform infrastructure. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with a passion for passion to learn, improve, and empower others.  This role is expected to be extremely hands on, working very closely with product and development teams on a daily basis to ensure the security, scalability, reliability, and performance of our systems using the latest technologies and innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and information security, to design, build, and maintain developer tools and processes that enable and evangelize a DevSecOps culture.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and deployments
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation and/or Terraform/OpenTofu
• Assist in the management of multiple AWS environments to optimize spend and improve efficiency
• Champion security best practices, including code scanning, vulnerability assessments, and secure coding guidelines
• Work with GitHub, AWS, Python, CloudFormation, CDK, and Atlassian products to streamline development and testing workflows
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to eliminate repetitive tasks
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends related to DevSecOps
• Identify areas for architecture improvement and process enhancement
• Create and maintain technical documentation and a knowledge base for developers

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Five years experience of following DevOps methodology and best practices
• Proven experience as a platform engineer/developer supporting a SaaS product
• Strong proficiency in AWS CloudFormation and CDK
• Strong proficiency and experience in building GitHub Actions and Workflows
• Familiarity with containerization technologies and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with Policy as Code
• Experience designing, building, and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience building/configuring tools to monitor production environment health
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect
• Kubernetes Expertise
• Proficient in Python, NodeJS, Typescript
• Experience working with FAPI 1.0
• Experience working with SalesForce
• Experience building out container-based architectures in Kubernetes

Physical Demands:

The physical demands of the position are typical of those found in a traditional office environment. Employees will not need to walk significant distances nor lift substantial weight. Employee will need to be able to remain seated at a desk for 8-9 hours in a typical workday.
