Safety and Equipment Supervisor

We are looking for a tenured Safety and Equipment Supervisor for one of the fastest growing Logistics Companies in the country. The Supervisor is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing health and safety policies and procedures in the workplace, managing repairs on equipment, and provide high-level administrative support and coordination for safety and maintenance program activities.

Job Duties include:

• Conducting research and prepare various statistical reports in support of the safety and maintenance program initiatives.
• Become a training resource of safety policies and procedures.
• Coordinate safety and maintenance projects, meetings, and monitor participation and results.
• Act as a liaison between, operating teams, drivers, and management. Assist in driver recruiting and retention.
• Maintain driver recruiting and qualification files including but not limited to; pre-employment work history, drug & alcohol clearing house checks and maintenance, MVR, and random drug & alcohol testing program maintenance.
• Compute and estimate hours for payroll, transportation HOS, personnel, and other supervisory requirements.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in safety management, environmental safety, or a similar field.
• A certificate in occupational health and safety management.
• At least 3 year's experience as a safety manager or health and safety manager.
• Excellent knowledge of OSHA standards and federal safety legislation.
• Solid knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices in the workplace.
• Familiarity with writing health and safety policies and procedures.
• Proficiency in conducting data analysis and reporting statistics.
