Job Description

“High Achieving Allstate Office - Collaborative team looking for a customer service representative and office administrator with great people skills and work discipline.”

For this position we are open to a full-time or part-time employee.

Our family owned and operated Allstate office in San Carlos has been here for 40 years. We have deep relationships with our clients and work every day to help them do the best job they can do to protect themselves from everyday risk. We have been honored twice with the Agency Achievement Award (given by Allstate to one agency in CA) as well as Best In Company in 2016 (an award given by Allstate to only one agency in the country). Responsibilities will include:

·         Customer service – Your primary role will be working with our customers on their insurance needs, from adding cars to their policy to reviewing billing questions. A good disposition and ability to multi-task are essential. There is plenty of room for growth in our agency.

·         Maintaining client relationships – Reviewing current policies with current customers to ensure they are happy with their experience and policy form our office.

·         Preparing insurance documents  – Producing insurance certificates for our customers and mortgage companies.

·         Identify insurance gaps and offering solutions – As an account representative, a large role will be educating clients on the coverage that they have, as well as what coverage they don't have. This requires effective communication to both learn about the clients as well as a willingness to learn and become proficient in the product offerings we have to offer as solutions.

·         Follow Up – Whether it is reviewing renewals, following up with a new client during on-boarding, or reaching out to prospect new clients, follow up is an important part of the job.

Our ideal candidate will meet as many of these requirements as possible:

·         Strong motivation and desire to succeed – This is a fast-paced and high-achieving office, so we need a customer service representative who is self-motivated to take care of business quickly and efficiently. You will be expected to make outbound service and prospecting calls to both existing and prospective customers.

·         Good communication skills – Both over the phone and through email, someone that is a pleasant, effective communicator will thrive in our office. If you enjoy talking to people this is the job for you!

·         Experience with Computers – You'll receive training on the Allstate specific programs, but having good working knowledge of email, Word, Office, and computers in general is important.

·         Genuine desire to be helpful - Both with clients and as a part of the sales and customer service team in our office, we are looking for someone that derives satisfaction from making things better for the people around them. Our team members are also this way, and the more the team shares this characteristic the better.

·         Friendly, positive demeanor – Being that we are interacting with clients every day who have options of where to carry their insurance, someone who can help enhance the customer experience with a positive agent experience is a must.

·         Trustworthy, dependable, ethical – Any team needs people they can trust and depend on, and this is certainly a core competency with us. We take pride in doing the right thing for people every day.

·         Insurance experience is a plus – Ideal Candidate will have experience working in the insurance industry. However anyone with good customer service skills and a willingness to learn is welcome to apply!

·         Fluency in Spanish is a plus – We have a growing Spanish speaking clientele, so ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred.
