Job Description

Barton Staffing is currently looking for a 1st shift polisher for our client located in Franklin Park

1st shift temp to Hire position.

Monday to Friday 5:00am-3:30pm

$18/hr starting pay

Must have a minimum of 6 months polishing experience

Able to work OT as needed

Able to work independently as well as in a team setting

Job description include:

· Setup and Operate Automatic polishing machines

· Expand part fixture holding devices as required

· Add inserts or spacers to ensure proper finish

· Adjust machine heads to ensure proper finish

· Replace compound barrels as necessary

· Adjust wheel feeds to ensure proper contact and finish

· Visually inspect parts for proper finish

· Adjust, feed and replace wheels as necessary

· Change over equipment for production runs

· Replace and change wheels based on part configuration

· Maintain compound flow at polishing guns, and adjust spray pattern to ensure proper finish

· Clean and clear all compound gun problems

· Operate Automatic polishing machine by loading parts on fixture, unload parts

· Clean machine at end of shift

· Notify supervisor of operational issues

· Prepare production reports as required

· Keep area clear of congestion
