As a polisher, your primary responsibilities are to improve the quality and look of an item. You can work in many industries as a polisher including manufacturing, automotive, culinary, and jewelry. You may polish glassware, silverware, jewelry pieces, and other items. Your duties include filing irregular surfaces of metal objects to conform to templates or other parts, or for aesthetics and comfort. You also use hand tools or power tools to grind, sand, buff, and clean objects to correct defects or prepare for further finishing.
