Production Warehouse Manager

Job Overview

This position manages the organization and daily operations pertaining to warehouse assignments including cycle counting, inventory, shipping/receiving and provides direction to subordinates guided by established policies and practices.

Job Responsibilities

• Manages warehouse staff
• Coordinates and oversees cycle counting of inventory
• Ensures processes are followed for accurate receipt of all arriving goods
• Compiles reports and reviews inventory, dead stock, goods age, consumption
• Monitors quantity and quality of commodities stored
• Audits physical locations and conditions of commodities and inventory
• Maintains housekeeping of warehouse and surrounding area
• Assesses the availability of space and prepare stacking/storage plans prior to commodities arrival
• Works closely with Warehouse Director to assure materials are received and inventoried in a timely, orderly, and cost-effective manner
• Supervises the Shipping and Receiving department to ensure timely and accurate delivery and receipt of materials/product
• Communicates proactively with the Warehouse Manager and Director, Operations on materials issues that may impact the Facilities’ ability to meet shipping schedules
• Establishes proper stock levels to meet desired customer service needs and company policies
• Supervises transactions related to materials availability and open order accuracy
• Works with the Quality Engineer to ensure and maintain compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management (EMS), and Occupational Health & Safety Association (OHSA)
• Addresses issues of quality at any level

Job Requirements

• Associates Degree or Bachelors degree
• 3-5 years of experience in assembly and manufacturing operations.
• SAP ERP system, required
• Must have demonstrated leadership skills through experience
• Ability to train and work well with others
• Excellent communication skills
