Senior Consultant - Strategic & Transaction Solutions

PYA is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its high-performing and privately-owned firm with a dynamic culture and a strong national reputation. This individual will support the Strategy and Transaction Solutions Program which includes the Transaction Advisory Services, Business Valuation, and Strategic Planning teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Utilize financial accounting, corporate finance, business analysis, and report writing to create and deliver valuation deliverables and resolve other client issues
• Assist in the application of various business valuation approaches and methods to a variety of entities and tangible and intangible assets, including litigation matters for clients
• Perform market and industry research
• Contribute to the team’s successful completion of projects by ensuring the highest quality work product is fulfilled prior to deadlines
• Self-review work products and assist with client presentations
• Communicate business improvement opportunities

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field required
• MAcc, MBA, MPH, or other graduate-level master’s degree a plus
• Progress towards an ASA, CVA, or CFA preferred
• 2+ years of business valuation, financial modeling, or external audit experience at a professional services and/or consulting firm required
• Outstanding Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated ability in project management
• Creative problem-solver with a high level of strategic, analytical, and conceptual skills with a passion for helping clients
• Willingness to travel for client projects and development opportunities
