Job Title: Quality Engineer
Reports To: Quality Assurance Manager
Summary: Responsible for clarifying all quality-related questions, resolving all quality issues regarding discrepant parts, and conducting first article inspections.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- The Quality Engineer is responsible for all engineering aspects of the company quality function and analyzing manufacturing processes.

- Participate in Contact Review process to ensure that Engineering Master addresses all customer requirements as documented in supplier agreements, procedures, work instructions, and engineering drawings.
- Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality and ensure that effective corrective action is implemented.
- Assist with receiving, first piece, in process, and final inspections for new products as required.
- Must be familiar/proficient with net inspect.
- Interact with customers source inspection.
- Serves as the primary quality resource to department supervisor(s) for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement.
Skills & Knowledge:

- Broad knowledge of AS9100 Quality Management System, Customer Blueprint and Specifications.
- Proficiency in surface plate technology, shop math, and mechanical inspection instruments, and blueprints.
- Proficiency with FARO ARM/VERISURF & Any CMM experience.
- Knowledge of Quality requirements for Lockheed, Raytheon and Aerojet Rocketdyne, is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work closely with external and internal customers.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Ability to navigate Epicor or ERP systems is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of seven years Quality Control experience or a related bachelor’s degree with five years of related experience.
