Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
Incumbent is responsible for ensuring that product testing that is scheduled for completion
is executed in a timely manner and within all quality parameters. Incumbent will interface
with other functions such as quality assurance, production, and quality control. This
challenging position places high premiums on effective teamwork, clear communication,
initiative, intelligent judgment, achieving and maintaining production efficiency and an
unwavering dedication to the quality of the product produced.

• Read and write at High School Level in the English language
• Good Judgment and problem solving
• Even temperament in changing environment, results driven personality
• Works well with others in group or teams
• Creativity and latitude is required for problem solving


JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Actively participates in Safety Program
• Adheres to all quality assurance procedures; able to improve and update procedures
for better build time and quality
• Assist in meeting production requirements
• Works overtime as required (sometimes with minimal/short notice)
• Participates in process improvement activities
• Ensure the safety and productivity of all employees assigned
• Enable effective communications between management and associates
• Assist test engineer in recruitment of test personnel; screen, aid in development of
hiring criteria
• Train new employees and coach existing employees in the test department
• Maintain a clean and safe, work-place
• Suggest and implement cost-saving ideas
• Lead team, mentor and motivate team members, ensuring individual and group
productivity
• Act as communications hub for the team, disseminating pertinent and timely
information
• Work within the companies scheduling procedures to monitor production flow, using
data indicators to schedule workload, ensuring output meets targeted goals
• Assist in performing hands-on production, test and assembly functions
• Serves as liaison between New Product Development (NPD) and the test engineer
• Develop the test plan from the NPD input, and consult with the test engineer
• Test and debug test fixtures for test engineer
• Develop test documentation (procedures, travelers, checklists)
• Resolve problems with products being tested as well as test equipment
• Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates


EDUCATION
• High School diploma or GED equivalent required
• Minimum of two years of electro-mechanical assembly experience preferred
• Associates degree in a technical course of study preferred

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
• Basic knowledge of assembly hand tools
• Basic knowledge of electrical assembly
• Self-motivated, requiring minimal supervision
• Ability to read prints and drawings
• Experienced working in teams or natural work groups
• Intimate operating knowledge of all equipment, processes, and protocols
• Ability to motivate others to meet demands established by leadership
• Basic understanding of computers
• Basic math skills

WORKING CONDITIONS (The physical demands described here are representative of those that
must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job)
• Required to sit for long periods of time and frequent use of hands and fingers, to
handle and feel
• Moderate activity, with occasional bending and stooping, standing and/or walking for
extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds while using safe lifting techniques
• Speaking and hearing: able to comprehend English language
• See and have visual capability: able to see screens, monitors, and environment
• Works inside, closely with others
• Generally works regular work hours, occasionally works after hours
• Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to noisy and can be loud
• Warehouse/plant climate can be based upon outdoor weather conditions
• Must be able to wear required Personal Protective equipment (PPE) for extended
periods of time
