Job Description:
In this role as a CAD Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and/or modifying 3D missile models, assemblies, and detail drawings utilizing multiple design software packages concurrently.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Apply industry best practices along with applicable standards
- Maintain Technical Data Package, e.g. drawings, revision history, source references, etc.
- Provide engineering design, development and 3D CAD models using Creo, NX and Solid Works of missile systems for thermal, structural, trajectory and RCS signature analysis
- Responsible for creating a credible CAD model based on research, intelligence data and mechanical/manufacturing design concepts
- Produce mass property analysis and data inputs for thermal analysis, trajectory, and RCS signature simulation development of missile targets
- Must be able to work independently as well as work cooperatively with other team disciplines to supply essential data vital in the completion of project tasks.
- Able to communicate and present modeling concept, design, graphic illustrations and analysis
- Design, implement and maintain CAD configuration control and reference database
- May be required to work offsite
- Other duties may be assigned as needed
Education Requirements:
- Minimum requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, 5 years DOD related work experience in missile development.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Proficient using Siemens' NX 2022 design software
- Proficient using PTC's Creo7.0 design software
- Proficient using Dassault's Solid Works 2022 software
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of missile system design
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Candidate must be able to obtain and keep a security clearance.
Minimum requirement: Secret, Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information preferred
