As a Warehouse Technician at Pacific Rubber, your role extends beyond simple tasks to encompass a wide range of responsibilities that are crucial for maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our warehouse operations. This role involves a variety of tasks such as packaging products, inspecting items for quality, performing cycle counts, cleaning parts to maintain the high standards of PRP's product offerings. This position is designed to give you a hands-on experience in various warehousing functions, providing a foundation for growth within the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately package products according to specified procedures and ensure they are ready for shipping or distribution.
  • Conduct quality inspections of products to identify any defects or discrepancies and report findings to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Participate in cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records and assist in inventory audits as required.
  • Clean and prepare parts for packaging, ensuring they meet PRP and Customer cleanliness standards.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks and organize warehouse stock appropriately.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment, following all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Utilize warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move products safely (training will be provided as necessary).
  • Collaborate with other team members to optimize warehouse processes and contribute to the improvement of operational efficiencies.
  • Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor or management.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in logistics, material handling, or a relevant field is a plus.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and pay close attention to detail.
  • Basic mathematical skills for conducting precise cycle counts and managing inventory.
  • Physical fitness, capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and performing the physical tasks required by the role.
  • A strong commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings or weekends, and overtime as needed to support operational requirements.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
  • Familiarity with warehouse equipment operation, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
  • Basic proficiency with computer systems, and data entry skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize workloads in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the initiative to identify and communicate issues or improvements within the warehouse setting.
  • Willingness to undergo on-the-job training and participate in educational opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to the position.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to adapt to changing workflows or procedures

 

Experience and Education:

  • 3-5 years of work-related or equivalent experience Payrate:
  • Hourly D.O.E $22- $24
  • Schedule: - Onsite- Monday through Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM with a 30 min without pay meal break.
