Press Brake Operator

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions, in partnership with a prominent manufacturer in the Kansas City Metro area, is seeking a Press Brake Operator to join their team! This is a climate-controlled facility offering a wide range of perks such as full benefits, 401K, and more!

Press Brake Operator Job Summary:

Pay: $20-$24/hr. (DOE)
Shifts Available:
- 1st Shift: 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday- Thursday (OT on Fridays)
- 2nd Shift: 4:30 pm too 3:00 am, Monday- Thursday (OT on Fridays)
- 3rd Shift: 11:00 pm to 7:30 am

Sets stops on machine bed, changes die, and adjusts components, such as ram or power press, when making multiple or successive passes.
Operates power press, power brake, apron brake, swaging machine, foot-powered press, hydraulic press, or arbor press according to specifications.
Installs, aligns, and secures gears, holding fixtures, dies to machine bed, using gauges, templates, feelers, shims, and hand tools.
Plans sequence of operations, applying knowledge of physical properties of metal.
Inspects workpiece for defects.
Measures workpiece and verifies dimensions and weight, using micrometer, template, straightedge, and scale.
Selects and positions flat, block, radius, or special purpose die sets into ram and bed of machine, using hoist, crane, measuring instruments and hand tools.

Press Brake Operator Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED is required
Minimum of 5 years of related experience is preferred (preferably using an Accurpress Brake ETS 3000 Control.)
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must be able to lift up-to 40 lbs. repeatedly
Mechanical- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
