Job Description

Title: Corporate Accountant

Location: Bolingbrook, IL OR Zelienople, PA

Salary: $85k-$90k/yr

Hire Type: Direct Hire

Job Duties:

Ensures accounting records and transactions are accurate, comply with company policy and have supporting documentation
Monitors, analyzes, and reconciles income statement general ledger accounts, including
- PR and related accounts
- All other op ex-accounts
Monitors, analyzes, and reconciles balance sheet general ledger accounts, including
- Prepaids, other assets, accruals, other liabilities
- Fixed assets
- Goodwill and intangibles
- Debt
Cap Ex
- Oversees and records cap ex transactions, including purchases, transfers, disposals and annual asset verifications
- Assists with the development and implementation of policies and procedures
Month-end and year-end close
- Prepares and posts journal entries
- Instrumental in the continual improvement of accounting processes
Monthly reporting
- Participates in the timely preparation, review and distribution of monthly financial statements
- Provides support for region and local management
Actively supports the annual financial audit process and income tax compliance with external

Qualifications:

Advanced data mining and MS Excel skills, including Vlookups and pivot tables
Proven experience in an accounting department environment
Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP)
