Welder / Painter

Position Summary:

Steel Fabricators are involved in the fabrication and installation of structural steel and posts.  Fabrication work may include cutting, bending, drilling, welding and painting of materials and are required to operate forklifts and other steel fabrication equipment    Steel fabricators are involved in assisting customers, suppliers and fellow employees.   

Duties and Responsibilities:

•  Ensures that fabrication is completed accurately, timely and in a safe and efficient manner.   Performs the appropriate calculations when cutting/fabricating materials to maximize product usage and limit the amount of waste or drop.   
•  Ensures a safe work area in compliance with company and OSHA policies.  Keeps the fabrication shop near and orderly.  Maintains all equipment in good working condition.     
•  Processes paperwork in accordance with company policies.   
•  Always remains courteous and service minded when dealing with customers.   
•  Keeps supervisor informed of shortages, overages, or damaged materials; refers customer complaints/compliments to supervisor.   
•  Performs other duties as assigned.  

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-5 years fabrication experience
• Ability to read blueprints
• Certifications between 1G-6G
• Personable with good communication skills
• Self-starter, detail oriented & safety minded
• Valid Colorado Drivers License
