POSITION TITLE: Traveling Superintendent

PAY RANGE: $120,000 - $135,000
LOCATION: Various locations outside the South Florida tri-county area (Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties)
General Responsibilities: Our Traveling Superintendents are responsible for overseeing construction projects in locations outside the South Florida tri-county area. They ensure that projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards. Traveling Superintendents coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient project execution.
Significant Duties:
- Supervise and coordinate construction activities on-site.
- Manage subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to project plans and specifications.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Communicate regularly with project managers, providing updates on progress, issues, and potential delays.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure workmanship meets quality standards.
- Resolve any conflicts or disputes that may arise during the construction process.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and change orders.
- Manage project budgets and expenses to ensure adherence to financial targets.
- Provide leadership and guidance to on-site personnel, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Previous experience as a construction superintendent or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel extensively outside the South Florida tri-county area.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- OSHA 30-Hour certification (preferred).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as necessary.
Benefits:
- Competitive base salary ($120,000 - $135,000) plus FWW OT premium for overtime hours.
- Per diem allowance of $135 per day.
