Summary of Position
Facilities Support: Responsible for assisting the Facilities Team in the day-to-day operations and maintenance of Gateway Church facilities. This is a multi-task position involving full knowledge of all Event Setups for Gateway Church as well as full knowledge of general housekeeping and basic floor care.
Principle Responsibilities
Modeling Biblical Priorities
Responsible for upholding Biblical priorities and core values of Gateway Church Houston. The team member should represent a growing personal relationship with Christ.
These objectives are accomplished by:
- Committing to a daily quiet-time with God.
- Setting appropriate boundaries to protect character and integrity.
- Supporting the ministries of Gateway Church Houston by faithfully tithing.
- Adhering to and encompassing the Core Vision and Values of Gateway Church Houston employees
Facilities & Housekeeping
- Assist the Facilities Manager with the overall operation and maintenance and cleaning of the church facilities, including the auditorium, classrooms, offices, and other areas
- Manage the preventive maintenance schedule for the plumbing, electrical, and other systems in the building
- Respond to and resolve maintenance requests from church staff and members
- Assist with the cleaning and janitorial services for the building
- Prepare reports on the condition of the facilities and the status of maintenance projects.
- Assist with the set-up and tear-down of all Gateway events
- Complete Setups for events in a timely manner
- Assist with managing inventory of furniture, equipment, and supplies.
- Assist with managing storage areas throughout the building.
- Following the Assigned Schedule and Plan of the Day (P.O.D.)
- Assist with deliveries from the loading dock
- Install banners and other materials as needed per Ministry and event requests
- Communicate all important information, such as but not limited to: events, vendors, ministry changes, emergencies, maintenance issues, and schedule changes to Oversight
- Assist with trash removal
- Other duties as assigned

- The employee must have the ability to frequently and continuously bend, stoop, lift up to 50 lbs. without accommodations
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs. or more with assistance
