About the Job and Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking a self-starting individual to join our company as an Education and Library Sales Consultant for the San Antonio and surrounding area (includes TEA Regions 3, 15 and 20). As part of our team, you will work with existing customers as well as develop and maintain new customers by visiting with them and providing onsite presentations to show and sell our products within the assigned sales territory. This is an independent contractor position.
· Work with the Regional Sales Manager to implement effective sales strategies to drive sales within the assigned territory
· Identify prospects, set appointments and make effective qualifying sales calls to expand new business
· Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers within the assigned sales territory
· Travel within your territory to meet customers one-on-one
· Maintain comprehensive knowledge of our products and services to effectively present to customers
· Attend local and/or state trade shows
About You:
A strong ability to work and relate to customers in the education and public library industry. This includes but is not limited to Librarians, Curriculum Coordinators, Title I Coordinators, Principals, Reading Program Directors, and Teachers.
· Proven sales track record in new account acquisition and retention
· Exceptional speaking and active listening skills
· Self-motivated and driven
· Must be able to prospect and cold call
· Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel)
· Reliable transportation
· Ability to lift 30 pounds
· College degree preferred
