Position: Human Resources Specialist
Location: New York, NY
Shift: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm includes a 60 min break
Schedule: Mon-Fri. (Flexibility to work until 6pm as needed)
Duration: 12 week assignment

Role Brief:

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Specialist to join our Human Resources Department for a 12-week assignment. The primary responsibility of this role is to serve as an investigator for Respect Office investigations. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and experience conducting employee relations interviews in HR. Additionally, candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in HR, legal, compliance, or a related field. Familiarity with federal, state, and local protected class designations and laws/guidance pertaining to Equal Employment Opportunity is required. The dress code for this position is Business Casual.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct investigations for Respect Office cases.
• Conduct employee relations interviews.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding Equal Employment Opportunity.
• Provide support and guidance to employees and managers regarding HR policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity throughout the investigative process.
• Prepare thorough and accurate documentation of investigation findings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience conducting employee relations interviews in HR (REQUIRED).
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in HR, legal, compliance, or related field (REQUIRED).
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local protected class designations and laws/guidance pertaining to Equal Employment Opportunity.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
