Exciting Opportunity: Pump Mechanic/ Technician

Location: Bridgeport, NJ

Pay Range: $30 - $35 per hour (DOE)

Your Role:

1. Equipment Assembly: As our Pump Mechanic/Technician, you’ll assemble all types of pump equipment to meet customer, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), and industry standard specifications.
2. Equipment Disassembly: You’ll disassemble equipment to gain access, remove, clean, and inspect components, ensuring the highest quality of service.
3. Inspection & Reporting: You’ll inspect and record component measurements using various instruments, tools, and gages, providing detailed inspection reports.
4. Failure Analysis: You’ll investigate and determine the root cause of failures, ensuring the highest quality of service.
5. Material Determination: You’ll determine the proper materials for repairs as per Bills Of Material (BOM).
6. Contouring: You’ll contour impellers and pump casings to meet hydraulic requirements.
7. Balancing Equipment: You’ll set and operate dynamic balancing equipment, ensuring optimal performance. Balance all OEM rotors to API 610 standards.
8. Final Testing & Inspections: You’ll perform final testing and inspections, ensuring the highest quality of our products.

What We’re Looking For:

• Analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Extensive knowledge of and ability to use hand tools, precision measuring and testing equipment, Vibration Analysis, and machine shop equipment/Milling Machines.
• Minimum five (5) years of pump repair experience.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Ability to travel to and work at customer sites.
• Ability to work overtime.
