Audio Video Technician / Podcast Producer - On Call

We are seeking a talented and versatile Audio and Video Equipment Technician.
This role performs production editing, routine maintenance, installing, configuring, operating, disassembling, and troubleshooting audio visual equipment. Additionally, this role will assist Podcasters in guiding the development of standards to ensure production elements and assets reflect the brand or theme concept.
Coordinates various aspects of production including editing, audio, camera work, music, integration, lighting, microphones, sound mixing, recording and videoconferencing equipment for live events and meetings, as well as creating video content for podcast promotion and distribution. Utilizes production techniques such as graphics, viewer pictures, or webcam interviews.
The ideal candidate is passionate about audio and video production, highly organized, and proficient in both audio and video editing software.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Podcast host and guests to develop episode ideas and outlines. Ability to ask the right question(s) to understand the scope of their requirements and the expected deliverables.
- Collaborate on calendar management to coordinate Recording Sessions.
- Record and edit podcast episodes, ensuring high-quality audio and content.
- Produce video content such as teaser, clips, highlight reels, and promotional videos for podcast episodes.
- Edit and optimize video content for various platforms (e.g. YouTube, Rumble, Social Media, etc.)
- Manage post-production tasks for both audio and video, including mixing, mastering, and video editing.
- Create and implement a podcast publishing schedule for audio and video content.
Requirements:
- Associate or Technical degree.
- 2-3 years of related experience.
- Proficiency in audio editing software (e.g. DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Audition, Hindenburg, Pro Tools, etc.)
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g. DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
- Knowledge in Light Room (desired)
- Troubleshoot Savyy
- Excellent communication, organizational and solid time management skills.
- Understands the value of building and maintaining professional netwroking
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines and schedules.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Creative mindset with passion for storytelling and multimedia production.
- Experience with podcast distribution platforms (e.g. Libsyn, Podbean, etc.) and video platforms (e.g. YouTube, Rumble, etc.) is a plus.
- A portfolio showcasing podcast projects and video editing work is highly desirable.
- Trustworthy, confident, and reliable.
Job Type: On-Call
Pay: $20 to $30 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as work experience, market conditions, and skill level.
