Part-Time Aerial Scoring (Electronics)

Griffon Aerospace, a leader in the aerial target industry, is seeking a talented Part-Time Seasonal Scoring Technician. Griffon Aerospace capabilities include design, manufacture, test, and operation of aerial targets, UAVs, and other aerospace-based products. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Scoring Technician will maintain ground control stations and ground support equipment.
• Repairs scoring kits components for various aerial target following associated wiring diagrams.
• Troubleshoots malfunctions repairing or replacing defective parts of electrical systems.
• Performs functional checks on new or existing scoring kit's electrical system.
• Operates various pieces of test equipment to diagnose, and repair defective components
• Performs routine inspections on systems and equipment.
• Repairs or replaces components based on test results by following technical documents.
• Disassembles, assembles, and adjusts electronic equipment.
• Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices set forth by company.

Job Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years current experience in avionics or electronics field.
• Must be able to perform a variety of non-routine tasks and demonstrate knowledge of avionics and electronic procedures and principles.
• Must possess:
  • the ability to troubleshoot at the component level
  • knowledge and use of electronic test equipment, hand and soldering tools, voltage or amperage measuring and recording devices
  • the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams
  • have strong verbal and written communication.
• Travel: 10-20% per year.
• The ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds routinely, work in a field environment with no physical limitations and be drug free.
