Prototype Engineer

Primary Responsibilities:

• Build, fabricate, and test prototypes of products or components to assess performance and functionality.
• Lead all activities related to the JAC Products Benchmarking Process, including analyzing competitor products and conducting annual Best of the Best Benchmarking events.
• Document the prototyping process and train the global JAC Products engineering community on benchmarking processes and standards.
• Create, rework, and maintain product displays in the Customer Showroom.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Engineering, Program Management, and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure that prototype designs meet all specified requirements.
• Stay updated on advancements in prototyping processes and incorporate new technologies and methodologies to enhance our capabilities.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field preferred)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in prototyping engineering or related role within manufacturing industry
• Experience fabricating and working in machine shop using mills, lathes, drills, etc. 
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
• Experience working with NX software
• Comfortable presenting in front of peers and leadership
• Mechanically inclined, enjoys problem solving and creative thinking to find solutions
