Job description

Job Summary:

The primary responsibility for this role is to assist Engineering and the Prototype Lab to achieve 100% delivery of prototype assemblies or components to all customers on time. Procurement of the assemblies, components, equipment, tools, fixtures, and supplies for Engineering and the Prototype Lab builds.


Key Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed):

  • Prepare component quote packages for Supplier quotes.
  • Expedite and track components from Mando’s plants and outside Suppliers to meet completion dates.
  • Escalate issues when required.
  • Track and approve Supplier Incoming Requirements (SIR) documents from Supplier prior to shipment.
  • Manage component procurement of assembly of build kits.
  • Expedite activities and purchase items at various vendors to meet project timelines. This includes ordering parts for prototype builds, as well as miscellaneous MRO items for engineers to support prototype activities.
  • Ensure competitive quotes for prototype parts.
  • Write memos for internal approval.
  • Track orders and maintain products in inventory.
  • Maintain appropriate document records to meet IATF16949 and customer quality audits.
  • Record and maintain inventory of quantity, type of materials, parts received and distributed, through use of HM PES computer database.
  • Manage Kanban System for maintaining component inventories.
  • Confer with supervisors/engineers to determine overdue materials and parts and inform supervisors/engineers about the status of the product.
  • Remain in contact with the Program Manager and Prototype Manager to make sure that the project is running smoothly according to schedule.
  • Frequently checks with the suppliers to ensure that delivery will be possible on the agreed date.
  • Must be ready to solve problems and issues. Must always have a contingency plan available.
  • Back-up Shipping/Receiving Expeditor, as required or on vacation.
  • Participate in program status meetings.


Qualifications:

  • 4-year technical / Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of blueprint reading and GD&T
  • Knowledge of Problem Solving
  • High level of oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize daily work schedule
  • PC literate (Microsoft Office Software)

Working Conditions:
