Job description

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Prototype Assembler to support vehicle prototype builds. This role requires fabrication, welding, machining, and mechanical abilities, along with the ability to collaborate with engineering, design, and program management teams.
Responsibilities:
• Skilled in fabrication: Prefer welding, machining, or automotive prototype builds.
• Fabricate assemblies, brackets, and structural components.
• Fabricate using metal, wood, plastics, and other materials as required.
• Apply strong automotive mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Interpret and work from detailed assembly drawings, including X/Y/Z dimensional data.
• Identify root causes of assembly issues and implement corrective solutions.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, and program management teams.
• Maintain disciplined work-order accuracy and material-control processes.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Prototype vehicle assembly experience required
• Assemble/drill parts in accordance with standardized work and job instructions
• Confirm quality of work performed
• Technical capacity to run equipment within the facility
• Must be able to use assigned hand tools, power tools, and torque tools
• May operate material handling equipment including forklifts
• Works and communicates with other employees
• Perform job duties in a safe and efficient manner and in compliance with safety rules
• Maintain clean working environment
• Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends to support program deliverables
