Job Responsibilities:

Mission of the Position:

Works with inspection lab assisting with projects on all different levels throughout program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate component and assembly drawings, plan inspection procedure.
  • Prepare documentation for recording inspection results.
  • Program CMM (Zeiss Calypso) roundness gage, profilometer, contour reader and other inspection equipment.
  • Provide "first piece" inspection data for prototype machinist and technicians
  • Perform inspections of components and/or assemblies to ISO / ANSI standards.
  • Assist / support additional Magna facilities as required.
  • Maintain inspection equipment and ensure calibration compliance.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA required.
  • Strong written and oral communication.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Print reading with GD&T understanding to ISO / ANSI Standards
  • Understand the basics of engineering theory and principles of design.
  • Working knowledge in computer-based software.
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment.
