Job description

Position Summary: The Prototype Coordinator Supervisor is responsible for managing customer prototype orders from receipt through delivery. This role acts as a key liaison between customers, engineering, laboratory teams, and operations to ensure accurate order processing, timely production, and on-time shipment of prototype components. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced with ERP systems in a fast-paced manufacturing or development environment.

This person will also supervise a team of containment technicians and an inventory control specialist. Key Responsibilities: Act as Supervisor for the Interiors Prototype Team Maintain group staffing levels based on new launch program team workload Administer performance appraisals effectively and on time Receive, review, and process customer purchase orders for prototype and low-volume production parts Respond to customer Requests for Quotation (RFQs) with accurate and timely information Communicate confirmed delivery dates and updates to customers regarding part requirements and order status Create, update, and maintain detailed order summary sheets to track project progress and requirements Enter, manage, and invoice customer purchase orders within the Plex ERP system Maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and part-related data within the Plex system Schedule and release prototype build jobs in Plex to support production timelines Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure on-time shipment of customer deliverables Collaborate closely with engineering and laboratory teams to support prototype development, testing, and validation activities Monitor order progress and proactively resolve issues that may impact delivery commitments Work Environment: Automotive prototype and low-volume production environment Fast-paced, deadline-driven setting aligned with customer program milestones Frequent collaboration with engineering, lab/testing, and manufacturing teams May require schedule flexibility to support launch timing and critical program deliverables
