RN Educator - Long Term Care Facility - Riverdale, NY

Compass Healthcare Consulting & Placement is conducting a search for an experienced RN Educator, an experienced RN, Registered Nurse, for a well established Facility in the Bronx, NY. Excellent Salary based on experience and great Benefit Package. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 1 year Supervisor/Educator experience and at least 2 years of Clinical RN experience. Salary 118-121K.

Clinical Educator - RN - Staff Development Registered Nurse

Qualifications:

• Ability to organize, evaluate and implement Education programs in the facility.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all departments.
• Possession of qualities of leadership, judgement and dependability.
• Ability to oversee and implement policy and procedures
• Strategic Planning
• Ability to function independently.
• Responsibility to accept decision making role.
• Prior RN Educator experience in LTC or Hospital
• NYS Registered Nurse or NP - Nurse Practitioner
• BSN or Masters Degree, preferred
• Minimum 1 year of educator experience and at least 2 years of clinical experience
• Proven experience in developing and teaching clinical curriculum is ideal
• Experience developing content and strategy
• Ability to be strategic but also have full accountability and drive on-boarding and education development practices
• Must have curriculum design experience
• MUST be charismatic and engaging.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Understanding clinical and non-clinical education, as this position is instructing on both. (Non-clinical includes adult learning skills and methodologies, HIPPA, etc.
• Ability to partner with senior leadership and HR to deliver training and to be on the units to follow up, and be a part of that community with employees, be able to identify gaps in training
• Partnering with the CPO on the on-boarding program and content development (customer service for example and in-service for different types of residents)
• Development of virtual content and training content for furthering education.
• Recommend best practices. There is a great deal of collaboration among many teams.
• Designs and Participates in Staff Development & Education programs
• Consults with Director of Nursing and Administrator in the aspects of the employee In-Service and Education programs.
• Collaborates with all departments to incorporate proper practice standards in their policies and procedures, in order to provide a safe and sanitary environment for residents and personnel.
• Coordinates and supervises In-service Program and Education
• Conducts in-service & Education guidelines for all staff in keeping with all state and federal regulations.
