Senior Accountant / Assistant Controller

Our company is currently seeking ​an experienced audit or tax accountant to join our team! As a manager in our firm, you will be responsible for managing the accounting for 3-10 small businesses. We are seeking accounting professionals that desire to grow and lead our company which is doubling year over year.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee staff accountants.
• Review staff accountant entries
• Resolve complex accounting issues
• Enter general ledger journal entries
• Setup fixed assets, loans and process payments
• Administrative duties such as answering vendor and customer calls, researching and resolving problems
• Bank and Credit Card reconciliations
• Record payroll entries
• Prepare monthly financial statements
• Prepares federal grant indirect cost submissions
• Completes federal grant disbursement reporting

Qualifications:

Accounting

• University degree in Accounting or Masters of Accountancy
• 4+ years tax or audit experience with accounting firm
• Knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Spreadsheets including formulas

Position requires a 90 day probationary period. Accounting proficiency test will be conducted during interview.
