VP OF PEOPLE OPERATIONS

ProService is seeking a driven and passionate VP of People Operations who will help our company continuously look for ways to improve. This leader will have strong operational skills that can build, strategize, and execute on plans. This person will also play a pivotal role in shaping the organization's future by attracting, developing, and retaining high achievers who are dedicated to making a professional impact in Hawaii. The mission of this role is to build efficient people systems that support a vibrant employee-focused ownership culture and contribute to the growth of talented employees within our workplace.

As we embark on our most ambitious service transformation, we are at a unique time requiring us to strengthen our people systems. This will build up our talent base and our ownership behaviors and cultural practices that enable us to remain a PEO of choice for businesses across Hawaii. We must continue to energize and operationalize our core principles across the company, which is all about teaching and improving how we work in the ProService way.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Strong Operational Skills: Build, strategize, and execute on initiatives. Lead the development of the Internal HR team and employee base, focusing on enhancing our effectiveness and efficiency in recruiting, onboarding, and retaining talented performers.
  • Measurement and Reporting: Implement metrics to measure and report on leading activities and outcomes in HR, with a strong emphasis on quality. Regularly analyze and assess the performance of HR initiatives, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Management Support: Develop practices and systems to support managers in growing and retaining talented performers within their teams.Provide guidance and resources to managers for effective talent management.
  • Workforce Planning and Hiring: Actively participate in and drive workforce planning and hiring processes, ensuring alignment with the organization's headcount budget. Collaborate with the CFO and other leaders to prioritize hiring needs and improve overall recruiting system effectiveness.
  • Recognition and Rewards Programs: Develop and build recognition and rewards that reinforce ownership behaviors. Define cultural behaviors and promote a common language for recognition and appreciation across the organization.


WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TEAM
  • Critical and Skilled Evaluator: Assess and evaluate people and culture with a critical and skilled eye. Identify key priorities in context and create a clear vision connecting small actions to the larger cultural vision.
  • Program Builder: build energizing programs that connect our people to ownership, client focus, and our core values driven behaviors.
  • Effective Communicator: able to clearly communicate strategy and execution to company and teams, consistently building our culture to deliver a strong and distinctive employer brand.
  • Coach and Teacher. Must be able to coach leaders to drive accountability for team health, team development and team performance. Create leadership accountability to people and culture, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Project Delivery and Transformation: Track record of delivering projects that drive high value and/or transformational. Can move from details to high level and back exceptionally well. Always sees room for improvement despite exceptional demonstrated success.
  • Data-Driven Approach: Connect data to outcomes, measuring and identifying areas for improvement. Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making and enhance HR strategies.

The base compensation for this position is $180,000 to $225,000 annualized depending on experience and qualifications. This role is eligible for additional compensation incentives such as equity and annual performance bonus.

We support a hybrid working environment and this position is located in Hawaii-Kai, Honolulu, HI. The post-holder is expected to work from the office 3 days/week (Tues-Thurs).
