Job description

Position Summary
Collective is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Community Cleaner to help maintain the cleanliness and
overall presentation of our apartment communities in the Mandan area. This position is primarily responsible for the daily cleaning and upkeep of the common areas throughout nine apartment buildings. Our buildings are home to hundreds of residents, and the Community Cleaner plays an important role in making sure each property feels clean, welcoming, and well cared for every day.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, notices the details others may miss, and can work independently
while managing a routine across multiple buildings. Daily responsibilities include walking each property,
vacuuming and cleaning hallways and entryways, sanitizing high-touch surfaces, cleaning interior glass and
windows, maintaining stairwells, and keeping shared amenity spaces clean and presentable.

Depending on the building, shared spaces may include fitness rooms, community rooms, pet spas, entrances,
elevators, stairwells, and other common areas.

This position may occasionally assist with apartment turnover cleaning or special cleaning projects as needed;
however, the primary focus of this role is maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of our occupied
apartment buildings.

If you're the type of person who notices fingerprints on an entry door, debris in a hallway, or a fitness room
that needs attention before anyone has to ask, you'll be a great fit for this role.

Our EPIC Values

  • Enthusiasm: Our team provides us with the inspiration that fuels our desire and drive to succeed.
  • Perseverance: We rise to the challenge with confidence. We have a work ethic, determination, and grit that
accomplishes the tasks necessary to succeed.
  • Integrity: Being honest, trustworthy, and transparent. We do what's right even when no one is looking.
  • Collaboration: Every team member commits to working together to achieve common goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete routine cleaning of common areas throughout nine apartment buildings
  • Walk all assigned floors and common areas regularly to ensure buildings remain clean and presentable
  • Vacuum and spot-clean hallway and entryway carpeting
  • Sweep and mop hard-surface flooring as needed
  • Clean and sanitize high-touch areas, including entry doors, handles, elevator surfaces, railings, and other frequently used areas
  • Clean interior glass, entry doors, windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces
  • Clean and maintain stairwells, landings, entrances, and vestibules
  • Maintain shared amenity spaces, including fitness rooms, community rooms, and pet spas
  • Dust surfaces, ledges, vents, trim, and other common-area features
  • Remove trash and debris from common areas and replace liners as needed
  • Monitor buildings throughout the day and address cleaning needs as they arise
  • Identify and report maintenance concerns, damage, or other property issues to management
  • Maintain cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need to be reordered
  • Assist with deep-cleaning projects and seasonal cleaning as needed
  • Occasionally assist with apartment turnover cleaning when additional support is needed
  • Work collaboratively with the property management and maintenance teams
  • Follow all company safety procedures and proper cleaning-product guidelines

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Previous professional cleaning, housekeeping, or property-maintenance experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, professional spaces
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple buildings
  • Dependable, organized, and able to follow a consistent cleaning schedule
  • Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and proper cleaning procedures preferred
  • Ability to recognize and communicate maintenance or safety concerns
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and using stairs throughout the workday
  • Valid driver's license
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
