GTI specializes in the design, engineering, fabrication, and deployment of custom modular structures, shipping container-based structures, and ballistic metal fabrication. We serve multiple industries, including DOD contractors, military, disaster relief, and commercial markets. Our containerized and modular solutions are all built in-house at our factory in Buffalo, NY. Manufacturing capabilities range from military training, live fire enclosures, bathroom/shower units, expeditionary camps, medical facilities, water treatment, electrical/energy storage enclosures, and much more.

This role is responsible for providing real time support to the operations management and engineering teams with the Company. Operating under moderate supervision, the Manufacturing Support Technician will help to resolve safety concerns, troubleshooting quality issues, and improve efficiencies in production. Additionally, it could include documentation of workflows, routings, floor layouts, material handling, testers, or machine utilization. Work could include repairing, maintenance, or design of production testers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides support to production and manufacturing engineers on a variety of tasks.
- Aids in the planning and implementation of manufacturing engineering process changes or engineering design changes to support plant operations.
- Performs troubleshooting and continuous improvement involving the repairing, modification, and testing of mechanical, electronic or electro-mechanical devices, assemblies, and production equipment.
- Maintains process controls to ensure equipment is performing to design specifications.
- Performs under general supervision, applies intermediate skills, may adapt new procedures, techniques, tools, etc.
- Assist with the data entry of purchasing orders and supply chain management.
Required Qualifications:
- AA/AS degree or other 2-year post high school training with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Must have proficient computer experience with MS Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Prior experience in an onsite manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems, SolidWorks, AutoCad, or other relevant CAD software.
