SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Seeking an experienced, cutting edge functional and integrative Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine to join our innovative practice. At STRATA Integrated Wellness and Spa (STRATA), we imagine a world where chronic illness is promptly and effectively treated using a comprehensive, personalized, functional, and integrative approach, and both children and adults achieve optimal health and healing to fully thrive. We are making this a reality by focusing on underlying root causes of illness and transforming the way medicine is delivered.

We practice cutting-edge Traditional, Complementary, Functional and Integrative Medicine, and have a diverse group of practitioners with across-the-board skill sets in all areas. We have special interest in men's health, women's health, chronic diseases (Lyme, Mycotoxin/Biotoxin illness, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, etc.), pediatric chiropractic, women's health, perinatal plus labor and delivery, early cognitive decline and Alzheimer's, autoimmunity, cancer, neurology, acute and chronic pain and physical medicine, and trauma-emotional-spiritual care.

We implement cutting-edge personalized medicine to promote healing in those who previously have not been able to heal, and help prevent those who are not yet sick, from becoming ill. We are seeking to hire a bright, ambitious, dedicated Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine to continue to build our program to its fullest potential and to see, inspire, partner, and help our patients fully heal and become optimally healthy.

This is a full-time position but there may be some flexibility in the number of hours worked. We are especially interested in a practitioner very experienced in functional medicine, women's health, pediatric chiropractic, perinatal plus labor and delivery, with extensive experience in treating the type of patients we see. Intellectual curiosity and an unquenchable thirst for learning is a must.

Experience and passion related to nutrition, Food as Medicine, gut healing, treating underlying infections, detoxification, nutritional IV therapy, ozone therapy, light therapy, injections, Prolozone, PRP, stem cells, applied kinesiology, Autonomic Response Testing (ART), Applied Psycho Neurobiology (APN), Exercise, Vitamins and Herbs, Homeopathy, Meditation, Energy Medicine, Research, are a plus.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Focus on health promotion or disease prevention.

  • Consulting with the patient about their medical history and the reason for their visit

  • Creating a plan of care that focuses on the patient's overall health and wellbeing

  • Assessing the patient's spine, posture, and reflexes to provide the appropriate treatment

  • Performing neuromusculoskeletal therapy by adjusting the patient's spine and other joints

  • Providing supplemental treatments, such as massage and acupuncture to the injured area

  • Giving advice on lifestyle habits such as sleep, exercise, and diet to improve patients physical health

  • Order, perform or interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT MUST BE ABLE TO

  • Function independently to perform age-appropriate history and physical for complex acute, and chronically ill patients.

  • Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient's age-specific needs.

  • Prescribe appropriate non-pharmacologic treatment modalities.

  • Implement interventions to support the patient to regain or maintain physiologic stability, monitor the effectiveness of interventions.

  • Facilitate the patient's transition within and between health care settings, e.g., transitions between traditional allopathic medicine and non-traditional complementary medicine.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals.

  • Facilitate staff, patient and family decision making by providing educational tools.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of an accredited school of chiropractic medicine.

  • Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree (specialized graduate education a plus).

  • Eligible for or currently have in force in the State of Colorado a medical license and NPI number

  • Completion of the National Board of Chiropractic (NBC) Examiners test.

  • Current certification in specialty areas such as applied kinesiology, women's health, pediatric chiropractic, perinatal plus labor and delivery, and/or functional medicine is preferred.

  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Order, perform, or interpret the results of diagnostic tests, complete blood counts (CBC's), electrocardiograms (EKG's), and radiographs (X-rays).

  • Analyze and interpret patients' history, symptoms, physical findings, or diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses.

  • Develop treatment plans based on scientific rationale, standards of care, and professional practice guidelines.

  • Diagnose or treat acute health care problems such as illnesses, infections, and injuries.

  • Recommend interventions to modify behavior associated with health risks.

  • Detect and respond to adverse drug reactions, with attention to vulnerable populations such as infants, children, pregnant and lactating women, and older adults.

  • Educate patients about self-management of acute or chronic illnesses, tailoring instructions to patients' individual circumstances.

  • Understand Electronic Health Record, utilize to its fullest capabilities, and have record complete within policy regulations.


NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Adhere to dress code, appearance is neat and clean.

  • Complete annual education requirements.

  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

  • Report to work on time and as scheduled.

  • Wear identification while on duty.

  • Maintain regulatory requirements, including all state, federal and local regulations.

  • Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.

  • Comply with all organizational policies and standards regarding ethical business practices.

  • Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.

  • Attend regular staff meetings and in-service meetings.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

  • Standing / walking for approximately 8 hours a day.

  • May sit for 2 to 4 hours per day.

  • May lift up to 25 pounds.

  • May assist patient in standing, laying, walking and/or sitting.

  • Frequently bends, stoops, reaches, and pushes/pulls.

  • The ability work in varying degrees of temperature (A/C).

  • The ability work under extreme pressures.

  • The ability to handle irate patients, peers, or the general public in a professional manner.


SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION

  • Full-Time 40 hours/week, with ability to grow within role and

  • Clinic and patient services provided Monday through Friday; assigned work schedule based on a 5-day work week.

  • Benefits-Eligible (first of the month 60-days after date of hire).

  • Salary Commensurate with experience, professional demeanor, contribution impact abilities, and commitment; paid monthly.
