Our growing construction company is looking for a reliable and capable general laborer to join our team. You'll follow the project foreman's direction to prepare job sites, load and unload material, remove debris, help team members, and do any other tasks to ensure the customer is satisfied with our work. Responsibilities
• Site and Crew Management
• Keeping track of man-hours, supplies, costs
• Carry out duties associated with Landscape Installation
• Understand plans and designs and implement them on-site
• Operate necessary tools/equipment such as skid loaders, saws, edgers, compactors, and others
• Ability to assist in the management of client needs
• Be available to help onsite tradespeople and heavy equipment workers as needed, to complete the plumbing, electrical, roofing, and any other aspect of the project
• Remove any trash, debris or hazardous materials from the area to prep the site before construction begins
• Help your team with all stages of the build to make sure that the job is done as efficiently as possible
• Take away any remaining tools, trash, and building materials once construction is complete to ensure a clean work site
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure you and your team members are free from injury
Qualifications
• Valid driver's license
• Possess or ability to obtain a Department of Transportation health card
• Organized and detailed to complete services in a professional manner
• Ability to lift 75 lbs. and operate equipment in a sitting position for up to 8 hrs./time
• Ability to safely operate truck and landscape trailer
• Positive attitude, hard-working and organized individual to work safely in a team environment
• Ability to lead a crew of two to five people
• Ability to work with all levels of employees
• 3 years of landscape experience in a Crew Leader/Supervisor setting including all aspects of hardscapes, boulders, water features, plant knowledge, bed prep, sod, seed
• Candidates who have experience using construction equipment such as forklift, power tools, and hand tools highly preferred
• This work requires physical agility, solid hand-eye coordination, and a good sense of balance
• Important to be able to work independently and with a team, take direction and follow-through
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Knowledge of basic engineering and construction laborer methods is preferred, but we will provide training
