ABOUT THE ROLE:
Our Dishwashers are instrumental for setting up the Kitchen and Café for success in a fast-paced environment.  Highly organized and detail-oriented, our Dishwashers help to ensure the kitchen staff has clean supplies and work stations needed to prepare and serve our creative menu offerings while maintaining consistent operational standards.

ABOUT THE TEAM:
The Kitchen Team at LAG&C is responsible for the creation of our hyper-seasonal menu items, that not only inspire, but also offer convenience, as they can be easily taken home or enjoyed in our café. Our team’s goal is to run our kitchen and store with as little waste as possible and each team member is an active participant working toward the mission of exploring food systems in Los Angeles and beyond.

WHAT YOUR TYPICAL DAY WILL INCLUDE:

• Maintains a clean, sanitized, and safe work area at all times.
• Deep cleans pots, pans, dishes, glassware and trays.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen floors.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.
• Separates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Follows safety work standards and reports any safety hazards to supervisors.
• Maintains proper documentation and certification of chemical handling and sanitation verification functions

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

• Working in a high volume establishment is a plus.
• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Ability to multi-task, good time management and are able to maintain a sense of urgency. 
• Acute attention to detail when it comes to product quality, presentation and food safety.
• Exemplifies workplace safety and health department standards.
• Positive attitude that adjusts to changes in the workplace easily.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Possess full body mobility (bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching).
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, as needed.

JOB TYPE + COMPENSATION RANGE

• Full-Time
• Hourly
• $17 - $18/hr + tips
