Responsibilities:

• Coordinate communication between the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food orders.
• Monitor the progress of food preparation and assembly, ensuring all dishes meet quality and presentation standards before leaving the kitchen.
• Expedite orders during peak service times, prioritizing based on table assignments and customer preferences.
• Collaborate with chefs and line cooks to resolve any issues or discrepancies with orders, ensuring seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean and organized expediting station, including ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are readily available.
• Communicate special requests, dietary restrictions, and allergies to kitchen staff to ensure accurate meal preparation.
• Assist with plating and garnishing dishes as needed, maintaining consistency and adherence to recipe standards.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations at all times.
• Provide support to the front-of-house team during busy periods, including bussing tables, refilling drinks, and assisting with guest inquiries.
• Uphold the Maü Miami brand standards of excellence in service and hospitality at all times.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a food expeditor or similar role in a high-volume restaurant environment preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for quality and presentation.
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, with a customer-focused attitude.
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with colleagues.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
