Meeting Street is currently looking for a Teacher Assistant 1:1 in our Early Learning Center working 40 hours weekly. Pay range is $17.50 to $20.81 based on experience.

Duties:

• Assist in all aspects of classroom management and supervision of children in an early childhood classroom.
• Learns and demonstrates positive guidance techniques.
• Facilitates interactions among children to provide opportunities for emotional, social and cognitive growth.
• Partners with families to ensure high quality care and education for young children.
• Maintains a clean, organized and child-friendly learning environment in accordance with state regulations.
• Maintains supervision of children at all times (indoor/outdoors) using accurate licensing ratios.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED required
• 12+ College credits in Early Childhood Education from an accredited university required, Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred per program accreditors
• Valid CPR and first aid training/certification
• A minimum of 1 year working experience with young children, birth to age 5.
