Base Salary Range$: $66,560 plus benefits

Responsibilities: The Transportation Supervisor/Driver will be responsible for overseeing the logistics and operations of the organization with a heavy reliance on vehicle use. Will be responsible for scheduling driver assignments, managing transportation and maintenance budgets, documenting all transportation activities in a database, and making sure all vehicles are in proper working order.
- Work closely with Departments to arrange patients’ pick-up/drop-off as needed while ensuring ADA requirements are met.
- Assess and determines the most cost-effective, efficient, and safe method of transportation for all SCFHC events and patients.
- Maintain records of vehicle use and maintenance.
- Ensure that drivers are following company policies and procedures, including safety measures and disciplinary actions if necessary.
- Oversees transport services in order to maintain an acceptable destination and route information
- Promotes safe lifting practices as well as the use of safe lifting and transfer devices.
- Evaluates current procedures and recommend changes to improve the efficiency of planning and scheduling of transportation workflow.
- Planning, organizing, and managing staff to ensure work is completed and consistent with the company's standards.
- Training and supervising transportation staff and promoting the safety and security of the transportation department.
- Proactively identifies leading process improvement initiatives for the transportation department.
- Review and arrange driver logs and trip records.
- Handle patient concerns and direct problems to suitable parties.
- Responsible to transport patients between clinics and patient’s home locations to designated routes.
- Driver will be responsible for various pickup and/or delivery services from management as needed or assigned by Management.
- Ensure vehicles are equipped to meet ADA requirements for wheelchair or mobility devices and ensure in good operating conditions.
- Prepares and tracks reports of mileage traveled, gasoline used, number of patients transported, and any unusual incidents.
- Maintain accurate vehicle maintenance, incident reports, accident reports, and other records that are requested from management.
- Responsible to ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and scheduled for major or periodic vehicle maintenance in compliance with safety standards.
- Will coordinate all transportation efforts utilizing SCFHC mobile clinic.
- Compliance with company rules, policies, and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Driving record acceptable to the Agency’s insurance carrier. (H6 DMV printout for verification will be required prior to interview scheduling)
- Current California Driver’s License and Automobile Insurance
- Current California Class B Driver’s License
- Current CPR Certification required
