The target candidate will be highly self
-motivated and skilled at securing new and managing existing customers in the sugar industry. The Business Development Manager needs to be hands
-on and work closely with the sales and Application Engineering team.
Objectives:
*Provide technical and commercial support to the existing customer base in the Liquid, Beverage and Sugar Refining treatment market to achieve company revenue and operating income goals.
*Support the development and implementation of the product marketing plan:
oDevelopment and distribution of marketing communications
oTrade Show plan and participation
oOnline and traditional target marketing activities
*Develop new customers/distributors in target territories/global regions to increase commercial sales:
oRespond to Technical Inquiries, support performance estimations and prepare commercial quotations as necessary.
oProvide technical support for current and planned customer pilot testing programs.
*Support Sales and Operations planning activities, providing sales demand forecasting for existing and potential customers.
*Develop white papers/case studies associated with existing customer installations and new customer evaluations to support marketing efforts.
*Maintain customer database of existing and prospective sugar market customers.
Travel: 40
-50% Travel is expected
Education and Knowledge:
*Bachelor"s degree in technical discipline (preferably Chemical engineering or Chemistry) or related field or equivalent combination of education, training and / or experience.
Experience:
*At least 10 years of sales and marketing experience. Direct sales experience in liquid sugar, beverage and sugar refining industry a plus.
*Technical knowledge of specialty adsorbents and sugar market a plus.
*Chemical/Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
