Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled travel Perioperative RN Registered Nurse (RN) to join our talented team. As a Registered Nurse (RN) at WTCP, you will have the opportunity to contribute to patient care and improve their outcomes.   • The location is in Mount Vernon, WA
  • The working schedule for this role is Variable Shift (days and evenings), 4x10s, floating as needed, call required
  • The duration is as a contactor for 13 weeks
  • The anticipated start for this role is two weeks after an accepted offer
  • No holiday coverage required
  • The pay: $80.75 Hourly ($60.00 Taxable, $20.75 Stipend) = $3,230 Weekly = $12,920 Monthly Gross

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordination and delivery of nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures
  • Assesses the patient's condition, planning and implementing nursing care, and evaluating the patient's response to treatment
  • Will work closely with the surgical team to ensure the safety and well-being of the patient throughout the perioperative period
  • Assess patients' preoperative health status and develop individualized nursing care plans
  • Prepare patients for surgery, including explaining procedures and providing emotional support
  • Assist the surgical team during procedures by providing instruments and supplies
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and assist with anesthesia administration
  • Coordinate postoperative care and provide education to patients and their families
  • Maintain a safe and sterile surgical environment
  • Document all aspects of patient care accurately and timely

Qualifications:

  • Active state Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR) preferred
  • Previous experience in perioperative nursing preferred
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Experience in a surgical setting
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS certification
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and critical thinking skills
