Registered Dietitian

Thomas Cuisine is looking for a fulltime Registered Dietitian for a senior community in Seattle!

Our Registered Dietitians are responsible for the nutritional care of residents in long-term care and patients in the rehab area. Serves as nutrition leader on the interdisciplinary team to ensure assessments are done, nutritional needs are met and is responsible for nutrition education of residents, patients, and staff. Works with dining leadership to develop menus that meet state and local requirements.

Qualifications:

• Requires bachelor or advanced degree from and is a Registered Dietitian with Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Master’s degree preferred. CSG desirable. Registered Dietitian license required
• Experience as a dietitian working in long term care, required
• Requires knowledge of CMS regulation in regard to long-term care. Must be able to assess and care for individuals with a wide variety of diagnoses and conditions, including parenteral and enteral nutrition. Requires knowledge of menu planning.

Essential Functions

• Conducts timely screening and assessment of residents and patients.
• Develops appropriate nutrition care plans.
• Accurately charts in the EMR using accepted standards of care as related to age and condition.
• Initiates communication with other care staff ensures nutritional needs are met.
• Acts as liaison between medical and nursing staff and the dining services staff.
• Provides clinical expertise and oversight to diet technicians.
• Provides education for patients, residents, caregivers, and dining staff.
• Reviews menus as needed.
• Assists in quality management data collection and participates in continuous quality improvement.
