As a part-time registered dietitian, your job is to help create a nutrition and meal plan for your patient. In this role, you may adjust each menu to account for their individual nutrition requirements, conduct an assessment of their current diet to find ways to improve it, and help educate both patients and caregivers about the reason behind each dietary choice. Part-time registered dietitians often specialize in specific parts of the population, such as people who recently suffered injuries or who have medical conditions like diabetes. Actual hours may vary. Some part-time registered dietitians work short shifts on many days, while others work long shifts on fewer days.
