DENTAL ASSISTANT (DA) wanted for our San Jose pediatric dental office, Bay Area Kids Dentistry. We are looking for a dedicated professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, willing to go above and beyond. The ideal candidate will be energetic with positive and compassionate demeanor, and love working with children of all ages.

Schedule

• This is a full-time position
• Monday through Friday - no weekends
• 8am to 5pm

Key Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required, completion of a dental assistant program preferred
• Current CPR and X-ray certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working with children
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Prior experience working in a pediatric dental office

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the pediatric dentist in providing dental treatments to children, including cleanings, fillings, extractions, and restorations
• Take and develop dental X-rays
• Sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records and treatment information
• Educate pediatric patients and their parents on proper dental hygiene practices
• Schedule appointments and assist with front desk duties as needed
• Assist in maintaining inventory and ordering supplies as necessary
